Who is Kerry Blomberg, the voice behind Momohlogue and what is my purpose in writing?


This blog provides deep thoughts, humor, offers of help, hope, positivity, and encouragement to all humans from the perspective of a 36 year-old working Mom (of 3 almost 4 gorgeous girls) and an Independent Consultant. I earned my Master's degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Hofstra University in 2006, worked professionally in Leadership Development/HR for several years. My past experiences include over 20 years of service-industry related jobs that held me afloat while I paid my way through college, room and board and allowed me to pave the way towards a brighter future for my family. I have traveled to Italy (3 week study abroad), Chicago, LA, all states between Chicago and NYC, all states between NYC and Florida, Miami, Orlando, Aruba, and Jamaica. I grew up in Sunnyside, Queens NY and although I have lived in suburban Long Island for over 9 years now, I will always be a Queens/city girl at heart. I enjoy writing as a hobby as journaling has always been therapeutic for me. I hope my story, my life, and who I strive to be in life will inspire my own 4 daughters to achieve their own goals. It would be humbling if I inspire other people with my words as I have been inspired by many other people.

The 5 Second Rule by Mel Robbins- an anxiety and panic attack sufferer turned author... 2nd author review for Women's History Month

Mel Robbins, another talented female author, used to suffer from anxiety and had panic attacks on a regular basis. Her solution in the book 5 Second Rule is to reframe your thinking and tell yourself that you are excited instead. I wanted to highlight her book because she is a Life Coach like me and she suffered from mental illness and has been successful... hopefully I will be successful like her.
