Best help for my body after baby #4 emergency c-section was...
1. Deep tissue massages from head to toe- at least 20 minutes, 3x a day
2. Lots of water - 2 gallons a day
3. The will to move around and get out of bed despite the pain
4. Using a loofa on a stick to gently circulate the fluids in my body - at least 45 minutes of this daily
5. Rubbing large amounts of natural oils on my body, including lavender, vanilla, spearmint, and eucalyptus
6. Lots of tea- 6 cups per day
7. Sleeping for at least 2-3 hours at a time
These 7 steps lead to a loss of 20lbs of fluid, got rid of a bad spinal headache, and allowed all swelling to be gone in 1 week! I never took a narcotic pain killer, only Motrin and Tylenol.
If you ever have a c section, I wish you all the best as the recovery was no joke! Excruciating pain at times...but got through!
