I had a great experience today at Ulta in Patchogue. I got my eyebrows waxed at the Benefit Brow Bar with a wonderful lady named Kasey. She is a true professional and took her time to measure my eyebrows, draw lines and show me exactly how she would wax the brows. She also filled them in lightly to give my eyes more umpf! I never had my eyebrows done this way, with such precision and care.

I highly recommend Kasey and the Benefit Brow bar.

Ulta is another happy place of mine! Its always fun to treat yourself to a reasonably priced salon service or new makeup! I didnt wear makeup at all for the last 2 years but since all my kids are in school now, I started to take some time for myself. As Moms, we are always at the bottom of the priority list...and Dads too! Not going to say that Moms only sacrifice because there are definitely many men who put themselves last too. I also recommend Marlena for a facial at Ulta and Chelsea for a haircut!

The 5 Second Rule by Mel Robbins- an anxiety and panic attack sufferer turned author... 2nd author review for Women's History Month

Mel Robbins, another talented female author, used to suffer from anxiety and had panic attacks on a regular basis. Her solution in the book 5 Second Rule is to reframe your thinking and tell yourself that you are excited instead.
