Chapter 2: UnFu*k yourself- I am Willing!

Are you willing or unwilling to change your life?

Its not about wanting, its about are you willing to put the time, energy, and hard work behind your goals in order to accomplish them?

Stop blaming your life circumstances, your past mistakes,  the person who hurt you, your made up "character flaw" and even your long-term disabilities for where you are today.

It Stephen Hawking can influence and lead a productive life, why can't you? If Lady Gaga can sing and survive suicidal thoughts, why can't you? If Steve Jobs can put his poor self through college and lead Apple, then why can't you? If I, Kerry Blomberg can overcome mental illness, sexual assault, my own fears, and still achieve my dream of being an entrepreneur,  then why can't you?

The answer is- because you are simply okay with where you are, and you are not willing to change because you don't want to...and that is ok too. If you are not willing to sacrifice and put in long hours of work, that is perfectly fine....

But... dont sit around,  complain about your own miserable life and be jealous or envious of others who have what they want because you can do it too, as long as you are willing!!!

So, before you start to tell yourself that you cant do something because you are an introvert, you are lazy, you dont have a degree, you dont have 2 arms, you don't have a family,  you don't have a car, you dont have a house, you dont have a boyfriend,  you dont have an analytical brain,  you .... blah blah...insert excuse and BS story here...

Just...

Stop!!

You can do anything as long as you are willing!!

Don't hate on me because I drive a Mercedes (not me yet but for arguments sake). I earned this Mercedes baby!! I gave up hours with my kids,  hours watching tv and sleeping,  hours sitting around thinking of what other people have that I don't. I traded that for a life I wanted to have because I was willing.

Nobody is going to define what success looks like to you but yourself! Some people define success as a 1 bedroom flat in NYC so long as they are close to friends and good food because that is what they value in life. Some people like me, define success as, the ability to own a business (be my own boss and flexible schedule for kids) doing what I love (inspiring others through my own passion for learning,  analyzing,  writing, and coaching others towards achieving their own dreams).

So ask yourself over the next week these two things:

1. What do you truly want in life?
2. Are you willing or unwilling to achieve what you want in life?

Thank you Bishop for another great chapter.  I am looking forward to what chapter 3 brings next week!
